As part of our ongoing benefits service to our business partners, I would like to advise and help you understand the business benefits that are available NOW as hospitality employers.

Recruitment subsidies available from the Govenment
If you employ someone who has been unemployed for 6 months or longer, the government will give you a grant of £1,000 which can be used at your discretion. They will also support you with an additional £1,500 contribution towards training costs through Train to Gain providers.

Next Steps
Contact your local Job Centre Plus by visiting http://www.jobcentreplus.gov.uk/, and don't forget to mention who told you about this!!!

More good news
Alistair Darling MP, Chancellor of the Exchequer, announced that the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) will fund the creation of 250,000 jobs in the public and private sector through a scheme called the 'Future Jobs Fund'.

About Future Jobs Fund
This scheme is to encourage young people aged 18-24 into employment. For each person that you employ they will grant £6,500 to the employer that can be spent at your discretion. The only stipulation is that the role must a brand new position that has been created.

How does an employer access the Future Jobs Fund?
The government is due to make more announcements on this new initiative throughout the summer and we will keep you updated with any relevant information.

We hope that you find this information useful and are able to take advantage of what we see is a great opportunity for the hospitality industry.

Many thanks

Sam
